Protech Medical Expands U.S. Operations
October 9, 2026
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Protech Medical is expanding its West Palm Beach operations, increasing its total footprint to approximately 65,000 square feet as the family-owned radiation protection company continues to grow its manufacturing capabilities, product portfolio and customer support infrastructure.
Over the past six years, Protech has grown approximately eightfold and now employs more than 130 people across manufacturing, quality, optical, operations, sales, customer service, marketing and other functions.
The latest expansion provides additional space to support manufacturing, warehousing, fulfillment, quality, customer service, product development and other operational needs as the company continues investing in its future.
Expanding Capacity for a Growing Radiation Protection Portfolio
Protech's portfolio has grown substantially since the company was founded in 1994.
Today, its solutions include custom radiation protective apparel, prescription and non-prescription leaded eyewear, radiation attenuation gloves, disposable shielding products, mobile barriers, table protection, inventory and inspection solutions, and other products designed for medical imaging and fluoroscopy environments.
The expanded West Palm Beach footprint gives Protech additional flexibility to support these product categories while continuing to develop new radiation protection solutions and strengthen service for customers and distribution partners.
Continued Investment in U.S. Manufacturing
A significant portion of Protech's product portfolio continues to be made or handcrafted in the United States.
Proguard™ radiation protective apparel is designed, cut and sewn in the USA by Protech's production team, with extensive options for fit, protective core material, fabrics, accessories and personalization.
Protech's radiation protective eyewear is also handcrafted and inspected by licensed opticians, including prescription eyewear produced through the company's in-house optical capabilities.
Expanding Protech's South Florida operations allows the company to continue investing in these capabilities while increasing the infrastructure needed to support a growing customer base.
Growth Without Losing the Family-Owned Difference
The radiation protection market has changed considerably since Protech was founded more than three decades ago. Through industry consolidation and the company's own growth, Protech has remained family-owned and operated.
That independence continues to shape how the company approaches manufacturing, product development, customer relationships and long-term investment.
As Protech expands its West Palm Beach operations to approximately 65,000 square feet, the company remains focused on the principles that have guided it since 1994:
Quality. Service. Integrity.
